He married Harriet HOPKINS on 20 June 1793 in Prestbury Parish Church, Cheshire. He married Sarah JOHNSON on 21 October 1821 in Harbourne, Staffordshire. He died on 28 February 1838 in Pythian Street. Liverpool. He was buried in March 1838 in the family vault, St. Edwards churchyard, Leek, Staffs..
