Sir James ( -1479)

1. Sir James Lord Hamilton, son of Sir James HAMILTON ( -bef1441) and Janet LIVINGSTONE ( - ), had the title '6th of Cadzow, 1st Lord Hamilton'. He died on 6 November 1479. He married Mary.

 

Mary was the daughter of James II KING OF SCOTLAND (1430-1460) and Mary of Gueldres ( - ). She and James Lord Hamilton had the following children:

2. James Hamilton, 1st Earl of Arran, son of Sir James Lord Hamilton and Mary, was born circa 1475. He had the title '1st Earl of Arran'. He died in March 1529. He married Janet BEATON.

Andrew STEWART had the title '3rd Lord Avandale, 1st Lord Ochiltree'. He died circa 1548. He and Margaret HAMILTON had the following children:

 

5	Andrew STEWART (c. 1521- ). Andrew was born circa 1521. He had the title '2nd Lord Ochiltree,'. He died.

 

4. James Hamilton, 2nd Earl of Arran was the son of James Hamilton, 1st Earl of Arran and Janet BEATON.
