4. unk COMYN, daughter of John II COMYN, was born circa 1272 in Badedoch, Inverness. She married Alastair MacDonnchadh, Laird of Lorn.

 

Alastair MacDonnchadh, Laird of Lorn, son of Eoghan MacDonnchadh, Laird of Lorn (c. 1212-1255), was born circa 1250. He died in 1311. He and unk COMYN had the following children:

King of Man EOIN MACALADAIR (c. 1292-1317). King was born circa 1292. He died in 1317 in Dunstaffnage Castle, Argyll.

 

5. Sir John "The Red" Comyn, Lord of BADENOCH, child of John "The Black" Comyn, Lord of BADENOCH and Alionora (Mary) de Baliol, died on [Julian] 10 February 1305.

 

Sir John's mother's mother's mother was Margaret of Huntingdon. Through this connection he had a strong claim to the Scots throne (given that that Margaret was elder sister of the Isobel of Huntingdon through whom Robert the Bruce had his claim). He was murdered by that Robert Bruce, after which the latter had himself crowned.
