Archibald ARGYLL (bef1478-1513)

1. Archibald Campbell, 2nd Earl of ARGYLL, son of Colin Campbell, 1st Earl of Argyll (aft1435-1493) and Isabel STEWART (bef1455-1510), was born before 1478. He died on 9 September 1513 in Flodden.

 

Archibald Campbell, 2nd Earl of Argyll succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Campbell on 10 May 1493. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Lord Lorne on 10 May 1493. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Earl of Argyll on 10 May 1493. He held the office of Master of the Household, to King James IV in March 1494/95. He held the office of Lieutenant-General of the Isles in 1500. He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513, where he commanded the right wing of the army, along with his brother-in-law, the Earl of Lennox.

David Lindsay, 9th Earl of Crawford, son of Walter LINDSAY (bef1498-1513) and unk ERSKINE ( - ), was born before 1513. He died in 1558. He and Katherine CAMPBELL had the following children:
